General information only
Everything written here is general. It describes how water filtration systems are usually installed and serviced — it is not advice about your property, your kitchen or your plumbing.
Houses differ. Where the water enters the property, what the pipework is made of, what the kitchen cupboard will take and what state the existing fittings are in all change the answer. What applies to your place is what a licensed plumber tells you after looking at it.
No prices here
There are no prices, price ranges or estimates anywhere on this site, and that is deliberate. A figure published on a web page for a job nobody has looked at would be a guess. The price for your job is the written quote given on site, at no charge, before any work starts.
What a water filter does
Domestic water filtration is about taste, odour, sediment and chlorine.
Nothing on this site is a health claim. We do not suggest that a filter treats, prevents or cures anything, and we do not suggest the mains supply is unsafe. Water Corporation treats and monitors the scheme water supply. Questions about the quality of the supply itself are for Water Corporation, not for us.
Third-party information
Where this site quotes information published by Water Corporation, the Australian Bureau of Statistics or any other body, that information belongs to them and is accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing. We do not control it and it may change.
Manufacturers
Warranties, specifications and service intervals for any filtration unit are set by its manufacturer and are covered by the manufacturer's documents supplied with it. They are not given by us.
Licensing
Plumbing Licence 8396 and Gas Licence 13098 are held by the operator. Work connected to the mains water supply is licensed plumbing work and is carried out as such.
