Starting point
Ring or send the form. A licensed plumber comes out at no charge, looks at the kitchen cupboard and at where the water comes into the property, and leaves you with a written price on the spot.
The Bateman job
Bateman is one of the smaller suburbs we cover, and being small has a practical upside: whichever street you are on, we are minutes from you, and a cartridge change does not have to be scheduled around a long drive.

Most of what we do here is the drinking-water end of the work. An under-sink cartridge unit in the kitchen cupboard, usually paired with a dedicated filtered tap so the filter is not doing work every time somebody rinses a plate. That is a couple of hours if the cupboard has room and the cold feed has a serviceable isolation valve on it.
The thing worth saying plainly is that the cupboard decides this job. A cartridge housing needs its own width and clearance underneath, because the bowl has to come down past the cartridge at service time. A kitchen sink cupboard is usually already carrying a waste trap, a dishwasher hose and a bin. If the space genuinely will not take the unit you had in mind, we would rather tell you that at the free visit than halfway through the install. What fits under a sink
Whole-house is entirely doable here too — detached houses with side access are the arrangement it wants — and it is the right answer for the household whose complaint is the shower rather than the kettle. Whole house installation
What we install here
Under-sink filtration
The cheapest fix for the taste of the kitchen tap. Under sink installation
A dedicated filtered tap
A small separate tap beside the mixer. If there is a redundant hole in the benchtop from an old soap dispenser or spray head, that is the quick version of this job. Filtered tap installation
Whole-house filtration
At the meter, so everything downstream runs filtered. Whole house installation
Reverse osmosis
Higher-level drinking water purification, for the household that has decided it wants that. Needs a tank and a drain connection. Reverse osmosis
Cartridge replacement
Flow dropped off, or the taste came back. Smaller job than a new system, every time. Cartridge replacement
Where the taste comes from
Water Corporation adds chlorine to all of its water supply schemes as a disinfectant, and says it is especially effective where long pipelines and high water temperatures increase the potential for harmful organisms to grow. That is what most filters are actually fitted to deal with.

The supply is treated and monitored. Filtration here is about taste, odour, sediment and chlorine — not about rescuing you from the tap, and we will not tell you otherwise to sell a bigger unit.
